75psi vs 50 psi fog nozzles?

I agee with you as well as some of the points brought out from the others. My department have been using a combination of nozzles on our crosslays. Both have a nozzle pressure of 50 psi, the lines are color coded, the yellow crosslay is an Elkhart fog (150 gpm @ 50 psi) and the red cross lay is an Elkhart 15/16 smoothbore. Our PDP for both line is 100 psi, and we have had no trouble with kinking on either of the lines. We also carrry a 2-1/2 blitz line with a smoothbore tip. As I have trained our teams, big fire, big water! Many times we pull our 2-1/2 first to get the knock down and follow up with the 1-3/4. As for the old timers, I have 42 years in the fire service and I have found that the NEW ERA of firefighters donot want any imput from the older firefighters. If the book says it is so, then thats it. As I have found it is not the book learning that keeps you safe, it is the streetwise knowledge that is not in the books! I have had wonderful instructors and company officers, all passed down their knowledge to me and I continue to pass it down to the younger firefighters.
