Where firefighters come to talk training

Just wanting to start a new topic on Fire Department Pipes and Drums bands. I am curious as to find out who has a band, and where new bands are forming.

I am a member of the Orlando Firefighters Pipes and Drums (www.firemeninkilts.com) out of Florida, and we have only been in existence since 2005. Its great to hear about new bands forming, and members willing to sacrifice a lot of their spare time to learn the Highland Bagpipe and the drums.

As most of us know, the hardest part of putting together a Pipes and Drums band is trying to figure out where to begin.

I believe with our discussion here, we could help other firefighters get started with the formation of the Pipes and Drums in their department.
