Where firefighters come to talk training

My department is starting an Honor Guard. I am one of the charter members. Are there any good sources out there. Any suggestions? Drills, uniforms, ect. We don't want to reinvent the wheel here.

Jordan, Contact the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois Honor Guard at affihonorguard.com and get a hold of one of the contact people to lead you in the right direction. This HG is a state wide HG and has over 500 members and is about 16 years old. Good luck Brother.

Jordan, You can also get ahold of Capt. Jay Bishop, I believe he works for Springfield Fire Department in Illinois, He is also the Honor Guard Commander for the IAFF East of the Mississippi River. Very good contact, Also they just had a honor guard sympossium in Lewisville Texas, it's a week long honor guard class, there where 15 different states plus Canada there. It's every may. Good luck Brother.
