Where firefighters come to talk training

I need some help from our brothers and sisters in GA. A friend of my daughter is looking for information on the best way to get into the fire srevice in GA. Being from TN I did not have any state specific information. He is in the Kennesaw aera. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not entirely familiar with that area but I think that it is covered by the Cobb County Fire Department which is a paid department. If he's looking to be a paid firefighter I just looked it up and they are just about to go into a hiring process so that can work out. If not how old/what grade is he in, there are a lot of good volunteer oportunities around college campuses and I'm sure other areas of GA close to Kennesaw.
